Smart money wallets explained

Updated 2026-10-11 · by QZMO

Some wallets have a consistent record of profitable trades. Seeing which of them hold the token in front of you is useful context, as long as you read it for what it is.

What “smart money” means here

In QZMO, smart money is a list of wallets that currently hold the token you scanned and have a strong track record on other tokens. For each wallet you see what it holds, how long it has held it and the wallet's total profit, so you can judge the quality of the holder yourself. Smart Money is part of QZMO Pro.

On Solana the wallet data comes from Solana Tracker. On Ethereum, BNB Chain and Robinhood Chain QZMO looks at the largest holders and evaluates their profit and loss using Zerion data; it also looks at the earliest buyers. On these chains the list shows a wallet's share of the supply instead of a dollar value.

The two labels

  • Good trader – a wallet whose score is above the minimum and that holds a relevant position.
  • Insider – the highest score tier. The score weighs how early the wallet entered, the size of its position and its total profit or loss. The label describes that score. It does not claim the wallet had inside information.

Why positions are cross-checked

On Solana, position values from data providers can be stale: a wallet may be reported as holding a large amount it has already sold. QZMO compares each reported position with the token's market liquidity and hides values it cannot support. Rows that were left out are counted in the header as “unverified” instead of being silently shown. This cross-check applies to dollar values; on the EVM chains the list shows a share of supply instead.

How not to read it

  • Past profit does not predict future results.
  • Several wallets in the list can belong to the same person.
  • It is not a copy-trading signal. A wallet may hold a token for reasons unrelated to its price.
QZMO shows what wallets did on-chain. It gives no buy, sell or hold recommendations.

Run these checks on any address

Questions

Is Smart Money free?

No. Scanning a token and its safety check are free. Smart Money, the wallet report, the funding trace, the watchlist and the live terminal are part of QZMO Pro.

Does the Insider label mean the wallet had inside information?

No. It is the highest score tier, based on entry timing, position size and total profit or loss seen on-chain. It makes no claim about what the wallet knew.

Why are some wallets marked unverified?

On Solana, their reported position could not be confirmed against the token's market liquidity, so QZMO does not present the value as fact.
